Calgary is quickly becoming one of Canada’s fastest growing city. As more and more people decide to move to this beautiful city, the demand for custom home builders increases, which means that more and more home builders in turn decide to make Calgary their new homes. This can be both a good and a bad thing.
It’s a good thing because people have more choices than ever, and it’s a bad thing because… well… people have more choices than ever and who needs so many choices when finding home builders is already hard enough?!
To make the process a little bit easier for you, Riverview Custom Homes has compiled a list of 3 questions to ask your prospective Calgary custom home builders before hiring them. So if you’re stuck and you don’t know what to do with all the choices that you have, keep those questions in mind next time you have a talk with your prospective home builders:
1. What are your qualifications? We cannot stress enough the importance of this question. Good and honest home builders will ALWAYS make sure that you are aware of their qualifications. Don’t skip this question if you wish to avoid trouble down the road.
2. How experienced are you? In the industry, experience can’t be bought. Ask the builders how long they have been in the industry — the longer the better, of course. Also ask them to see some examples of what they have built in the past if no portfolio is available on their website.
3. Do you build production or custom homes? Ideally you would know the answer to this question before meeting the builders face to face, but it’s always a good thing to double check that you are both on the same track. If they build custom homes in Calgary, what do they specialize in?
