The flood of 2013 devastated a number of homes in Roxboro, including this home that was flooded almost to the second floor. The owners wanted to restore it with a unique mix of old and new in honour of the original home. We sourced as much reclaimed material as possible, including wood from historic buildings throughout Alberta (including grain elevators) for floors, beams and woodwork. We even fabricated some of the benches and staircases from pipe to keep with the one-of-a-kind home the owners wanted to achieve.
